DESCRIPTION:Celtic Inspired Meditative Music\nReserve Seats for June 29th Cooper Chapel \n\n\n\n\nRachel and Brittany Maroney (cello) will be sharing Celtic Inspired Meditative Music. Rachel has created these songs from the Evening Prayers for the 5 p.m. worship bulletin at Christ Episcopal Contemplative Service. She’s created these lullaby-like reassuring spiritual songs to be shared communally and will perform them with piano\, voice and cello.\nThe designed purpose and nature of the music is a gentle simplicity that invites repetition. We will be making Music Mantras so to speak\, inviting the listener to join in and sing along on the repeats\, or to simply enjoy and close one’s eyes in the peaceful environment. \nThese songs\, though new to the listener\, will readily become familiar and like friends who make it easy to relax in each other’s company. The gentle melody’s simplicity will naturally create a slow refreshing inhale for a tired heart that didn’t know it needed a deep breath.  \nThis event is on Sunday\, June 29th\, at 6:30 pm\, in the Cooper Chapel of the Christ Church campus located at 400 San Juan Drive in Ponte Vedra Beach. That event will be limited to 50 peaceful souls.\nFree will donations will be graciously accepted for both gatherings.

DESCRIPTION:Hello Friends.\nIt’s been several months since I’ve communicated with you. I’ve been distracted lately\, as I am recovering from getting hit by non-small cell lung cancer this Winter. I’m on the mend and ready to celebrate life and get back to sharing my music with you\, live.\nDuring my illness\, one of my regrets was that I’d not shared many of the songs I’ve written for various reasons\, one being that I was hesitant to believe that there was a listening audience of Just Rachel at the piano. I’ve felt this way for years\, but during this healing journey\, I’ve faced those fears and insecurities within me and decided\, what better way to celebrate my 61st birthday than to “do what I love\, as simply Just Me”. It’s a gift I’m giving to myself\, to dare to share music I’ve not much shared before.\nSo\, that’s the plan. I’m hosting a Just Rachel house concert and am preparing to debut a lot of the songs I’ve not shared “live” before. Songs from some children’s musicals I’ve written but have not published and such. It’s time to resume doing what I can\, because I can. Life’s short\, let’s do this!\nPlease let me know if you can make a Wednesday night at 7 p.m. birthday concert on June the 3rd\, 2026.

SUMMARY:An Evening of Worship with Rachel / A Gratitude Concert
DESCRIPTION:I am planning more concerts in July; one such will be an Evening of Worship with Rachel/ A Gratitude Concert\, on Thursday\, July 9th. This is something I promised I’d do when I was hospitalized for the first time in late January. I knew I had more living to do and spoke about giving a Gratitude Concert then. \nThis program will be held in the choir room at Christ Episcopal on the gorgeous piano in that rehearsal room.  I am grateful to fulfill this intention and promise as God’s kept His word with me. I am beyond grateful I get to live…as He has healed and is still healing and restoring my health and fullness of life.
